Refer-A-Friend Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions ("terms") apply to Comcast's Refer-A-Friend program ("Refer-A-Friend Program" or "Program"). By referring a customer, activating service or otherwise participating under the Program, the referring and referred customer as the case may be, agrees to these terms.
Refer-A-Friend credits are limited to the amount actually billed, at either a promotional or regular rate, for one month of Comcast High-Speed Internet residential service ("Service"), not to exceed the maximum rate of $67.95. Credit does not include home networking charges, cable modem lease charges, other equipment charges, franchise fees and taxes or any charges (such as for installation, Ethernet devices, etc.) of a non-recurring nature or any additional charges relating to the service (e.g., additional IP addresses, etc.).
Credit is only available to current Comcast High-Speed Internet residential customers located in wired and serviceable areas with accounts in good standing.
CUSTOMERS REFERRED UNDER THE REFER-A-FRIEND PROGRAM: SUBSCRIPTION TO THE SERVICE THROUGH THE REFER-A-FRIEND PROGRAM, WILL ENABLE THE REFERRING CUSTOMER TO RECEIVE AUTOMATIC UPDATES ABOUT THE REFERRED CUSTOMER'S SUBSCRIPTION, INCLUDING: DECISION TO OPT-OUT OF REFER-A-FRIEND PROGRAM, REFERRAL'S SERVICE AVAILABILITY, SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION OF SERVICE, CREDIT RECEIVED, CANCELLATION OF SERVICE (DURING THE 30-DAY PERIOD) OF THE REFERRED CUSTOMER AND OTHER INFORMATION RELATED TO THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE REFER-A-FRIEND PROGRAM. BY ACTIVATING SERVICE THROUGH THE REFER-A-FRIEND PROGRAM, THE REFERRED CUSTOMER AGREES THAT COMCAST MAY SHARE SUCH INFORMATION WITH THE REFERRING CUSTOMER.
Credits are only available for referrals resulting in new Service activations. In order to receive credit, the referred customer:
- Must not have been a Comcast High-Speed Internet service customer within 120 days of the date of referral. Referrals with Comcast.net domains are not eligible;
- Must activate Service within 90 days of receipt of the first Refer-A-Friend e-mail and continue Service for at least 30 consecutive days following activation, with account in good standing. Any referrals which have not activated Service within the 90 day period will be automatically deleted from the referring customer's referral manager and the referring customer will not receive credit for such customers.
Only orders placed by referrals through Comcast's Refer-A-Friend e-mail will be eligible for credits and participation in the Program. Comcast's tracking of orders and Service activation status shall determine the issuance of credits.
All e-mails are subject to e-mail opt-out requests. No additional e-mails (including the reminder e-mail) will be sent to any referred customer who elects to opt-out of future e-mails.
If any customer referred under the Program opts out of future e-mails or does not agree to these terms or otherwise to participate under the Program, the referring customer shall not receive credit in connection with the referral of such customer. Credit will not be applied until after the referred customer continues service for the 30-day period and may take up to 90 days to appear on the referring customer's billing statement. Customers are required to pay all invoices in full.
LIMIT OF ONE CREDIT PER INVOICE (PER MONTH) WILL BE APPLIED. ADDITIONAL APPROVED CREDITS WILL BE APPLIED TO FUTURE INVOICES. THE TOTAL NUMBER OF CREDITS PER CUSTOMER SHALL BE LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF 18 CREDITS PER ACCOUNT/HOUSEHOLD FOR THE DURATION OF THE PROGRAM, REGARDLESS OF THE NUMBER OF CUSTOMERS ACTUALLY REFERRED.
Upon cancellation of Service by the referring customer for any reason, any unused credits will automatically expire and may not be transferred, assigned or redeemed for cash.
Any credits which have not been used within 18 months of issuance will automatically expire.
If multiple referrals for the same person are received, only 1 credit (subject to these terms) will be provided for the referral first received by Comcast, as determined by Comcast. Credits may not be combined with other offers.
Refer-A-Friend Program is only open to U.S. legal residents, excluding residents of Tennessee, age 18 or older. Void in the State of Tennessee and residents of Tennessee are not eligible to participate. Void in all other areas where prohibited.
Employees of Comcast Cable Communications Management, LLC, and its respective parents, affiliates and subsidiaries and the immediate family members of all such employees and all others with whom they are living in the same household are not eligible to participate in the Program or receive any credits, discounts or other promotional offers under this Program.
Refer-a-Friend Program participation limited to residential Comcast High-Speed Internet customers with accounts in good standing. Property owners, sales agents, managers, leasing/rental agents, and landlords and their respective agents, employees and contractors, of apartments, townhouses, condominiums or other types of multiple dwelling units are not eligible to participate in the Program or receive any credits, discounts or other promotional offers under the Program or for referring a customer who rents, purchases or otherwise obtains a unit owned, managed, leased and/or maintained by such person.
Comcast reserves the right to alter, modify, suspend or terminate this program at any time upon 30 days notice, which notice may be provided through revisions posted on Comcast's Refer-A-Friend web site.
